Protection Levels
With Level B6 armour, you will have protection from just about any weapon like AK47s, R1 assault rifles and sniper rifles.
This level of protection will allow you to travel protected into hostile territories. Our Level B6 adds approximately 350-500 kg of additional weight because of the premium lightweight armouring materials we use.
This additional weight still remains under the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), leaving no need to replace any other mechanical components. The turnaround time for a Level B6 build takes on average around eight-ten weeks.
With Level B4 armour, you will have protection against almost all handguns such as 9mm, .40, .45 & .357 firearms.
This level of armour is sufficient to protect you from hijackings, smash and grab attempts, as well as from brick/rock throwing. The glass used also provides protection against fragmentation. Level B4 adds approximately 110-140 kg of additional weight because of the premium lightweight armouring materials we use.
This additional weight still remains under the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and has a very minimal effect on acceleration, handling and performance, leaving no need to upgrade the brakes and suspension. The turnaround time for a Level B4 build takes on average around six-eight weeks.

The B6 Discreet Premium Armour is the highest level of civilian protection available without a special permit in South Africa. It is designed to withstand fire from high-powered assault rifles, including the AK47, R1, and R5. The vehicle features 360° ballistic protection, covering the glass, all pillars (A, B, and C), the roof, firewall, and front fenders.
Armoured Mobility uses lightweight imported ballistic materials to minimize the impact on performance. While B6 armour typically adds between 350kg and 500kg, the Amarok’s 3.0L V6 TDI engine and 4Motion AWD system are specifically engineered for high torque and heavy-duty use, ensuring the vehicle maintains excellent handling, acceleration, and off-road capability.
In a B6 discreet build, the priority is the integrity of the “armoured cocoon.” For safety reasons, the rear windows are fixed. However, the front windows can be partially opened (typically up to 100mm) to allow for the exchange of documents or small items without fully compromising your security.
The Amarok is fitted with run-flat steel band tyres. These specialized bands are installed inside the tyres, allowing you to continue driving for approximately 50km to 80km even after a total loss of tyre pressure. This ensures you can escape a “kill zone” and reach a place of safety.
